Rule No. 1: A robust bar:Nothing is worse than running out of cocktails when everyone is having a great time. If I am short on time, I stick to the basics,” she shares.

Rule No. 2: Small-but-significant touches: “I love to play with my coffee table decor when setting up an hors d'oeuvres spread. I grab flowers and/or fruit the day of, and mix with candles and different vases.”

Rule No. 3: Ample seating: “It is so important to have a good seating arrangement when you are hosting, so that everyone is comfortable and able to be included in conversations. Try and think it through before your guests arrive, so it's not a scramble for additional chairs/etc.”
