#InTheStudio with Erickson Beamon

Karen and Eric Erickson, the duo behind the statement jewelry brand Erickson Beamon, have the kind of studio that any accessory aficionado would want to move into and call home. From a chandelier–adorned showcase room to a library of the most sought–after fashion and art titles, it’s impossible not to find inspiration in every corner.

We visited Karen for the full tour of their two–floor West Chelsea space to find out what goes on behind doors—check out the space right here.

What do you love most about your showroom?
Karen: "We left the Garment District about eight years ago and thought Chelsea would be the perfect place to put down our roots. Our new space is in a historic NYC landmark with arched windows, huge wood beams and original brick walls. It's full of charm and elegance."

There are so many knick–knacks and baubles throughout the studio. How do you stay so organized?
KE: "When I was a child, I collected stamps. I had a huge bag containing stamps from 100 countries that I had to sort, document and categorize. Over time, my stamp collecting hobby helped me organize my mind and it manifested into my everyday habits."

What's your favorite item that you're working on now?
KE: "I don't pick favorites! I approach each design as a challenge and a journey. I try not to think too much, just to channel and allow ideas to flow."
