How AG Jeans Does a Day Away

How AG Jeans Does a Day Away

Every woman has that pair of jeans that makes her feel the most like herself, and for good reason: Denim has long been the go–to for achieving effortlessly cool style. And while we love our skinnies and boyfriend jeans, each season brings new denim trends that are just begging to be taken for a spin. Here, we're showing you how to style the of–the–moment silhouettes from AG, L'Agence and J Brand. Discover more in our Denim Report.

While we could easily spend a lifetime checking out all of LA's hidden spots to eat, drink and play, sometimes it pays to escape the city limits. Ask any Angeleno where they go when they want to get away for a few hours and they'll likely have a destination or two, plus tips on what to do while you're there. We turned to the Los Angeles–based team behind the chic and sophisticated denim at AG to find out where they head to when they want a day away, and their recommendations did not disappoint. Keep reading to see them all, and shop the perfect outfit to wear to each.

Carmel Carlton, Director of Merchandising
Where to escape to: Sausalito, California
What to do: "Go to Cronkhite Beach and watch the surfers, hike the Marin Headlands and walk along the Bay in Sausalito. Or you can drink rosé and play bocce ball at Bar Bocce along the Bay while watching boats and the occasional seal float by."
Where to eat and drink: "Sushi Ran has the best sushi outside of Japan! Drink an oyster shooter martini, because it's crazy—fish eggs, oyster and alcohol. Eat omakase sushi—the chef's choice. It's all good."

Samuel Ku, President and Creative Director
Where to escape to: Big Sur, California
What to do: "Stay at Post Ranch Inn, go for a hike and see McWay Falls. Drive along the coast on CA–1 for the most epic views in all of the U.S., and stop for a picture on Bixby Bridge."
Where to eat and drink: "Breakfast, lunch and dinner at Big Sur Bakery. It's that good."

Jessica Debreceni, PR Manager
Where to escape to: Venice, California
What to do: "Go spend the day at the beach and boardwalk, then make your way to Abbot Kinney Blvd., where there are great shops and dining."
Where to eat and drink: "My absolute favorite restaurant Gjelina is on Abbot Kinney. I'm a bit of a pizza snob, and I have to say their pizza is one of the best! Tehn for dessert, walk down the block to Salt & Straw. It's a Portland–based ice cream shop. They have the most interesting flavor combinations that are rich and creamy and will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. They have vegan options, too!"
